DigiPlus Foundation launches Charity tab on BingoPlus app
DigiPlus Foundation has introduced a new Charity tab on the BingoPlus app as it expands its social development initiatives nationwide.
Formerly known as the BingoPlus Foundation, the organization said the new feature allows users to monitor its community programs and charitable projects directly through the app.
According to the foundation, the Charity tab contains project cards highlighting initiatives focused on food security, healthcare access, and classroom-building investments.
Users may also view real-time project progress, top contributors, impact statistics, and partner organizations through the platform.
The foundation said the feature aims to make community engagement more transparent and accessible while connecting digital participation with on-ground social impact.
“More than building a space of trust and transparency, the Foundation also aims to make the Charity tab a living library of stories by everyday heroes,” the organization said.
DigiPlus Foundation also announced that it will unveil its “biggest and most meaningful set of commitments to date” during BingoPlus Night 2026 on May 19.
“The gift of giving never stops with DigiPlus Foundation,” it said. “With the BingoPlus Charity tab, everyone is now within arm’s reach of handing out the next set of meals, pushing the next medical mission, and building the next classroom.”
DigiPlus Interactive Corp., the company behind BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, and GameZone, said the foundation continues to focus on programs related to education, healthcare, livelihood, disaster resilience, and inclusive development.
Filipino Student Innovators Rise to Global Stage Through TechQuest National Robotics Challenge
MANILA, Philippines – Inside a competition arena filled with moving robots, flashing sensors, and cheering students, a bigger story unfolded in Makati City: the rise of a new generation of Filipino innovators determined to prove that world-class talent can thrive anywhere in the Philippines.
32 schools across regions gathered for TechQuest National Robotics Challenge for Academia, a nationwide robotics competition spearheaded by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and DigiPlus Foundation, the social development arm of DigiPlus Interactive Corp. For two days, students from different backgrounds and provinces competed not only for championship titles, but for the opportunity to represent the Philippines on the international stage.
But beyond the robotics arena, TechQuest became a powerful reflection on how Filipino youth are transforming curiosity into innovation and ambition into opportunity.
For many participants, it was their first time traveling outside their hometown to compete nationally. Some came from public schools with limited access to advanced technology, carrying with them months of preparation, self-study, and determination. Armed with robotic kits, programming skills, and teamwork, they engineered autonomous robots capable of completing complex tasks under time pressure.
The competition tested not only technical capability, but also creativity, adaptability, leadership, and resilience - qualities that are increasingly essential in a technology-driven world.
“TechQuest is more than a competition, it is a launchpad for Filipino youth to realize that their ideas matter and that they can compete with the best in the world,” said Celeste Jovenir, Chief Operating Officer of DigiPlus Foundation. “When we invest in young innovators, we are also investing in the future of the Philippines. These students represent the kind of talent, creativity, and determination that can drive our nation towards a more advanced tech-driven world,” she added.
Mounted under DigiPlus Foundation’s FutureSmart program, TechQuest serves as a part of the foundation’s long-term commitment to empowering Filipino learners through technology education, robotics, and future-ready skills development. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between education and industry while helping the students discover pathways toward careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
The competition also highlighted the importance of collaboration in building a stronger innovation ecosystem for the country. TechQuest was made possible through the collective efforts of DICT- SPARK (Strengthening the Philippine Workplace through Adaptive and Responsive Digital Knowledge), DICT- ICT Literacy and Competency Development Bureau (ILCDB), the Robotics and Programming Guild of the Philippines, and ZMRobo, whose support helped bring advanced robotics education closer to Filipino students nationwide.
For the DICT, TechQuest is essential in strengthening the country’s digital competitiveness and nurturing globally capable talent.
“Empowering the next generation of innovators is critical to building a digitally competitive Philippines,” said Attorney Leandro Angelo Aguirre, Undersecretary for Strategic Initiatives and Industry and Competency Development of DICT. “Through initiatives like TechQuest are not only developing technical skills, but also fostering innovation, collaboration, and problem-solving among young Filipinos. These are the skills that will help shape the future of our nation,” he added.
Emerging as overall champion was the University of the Cordilleras from Cordillera Administrative Region, followed by the Philippine Science High School- SOCCSKSARGEN Region Campus as first runner-up, while Cabatuan National Comprehensive High School from Region VI secured second runner-up.
Beyond the championship titles, several schools also received special recognition for excellence and impact. Cabatuan National Comprehensive High School earned the “Multiply the Good Award” for its inspiring video entry highlighting how robotics transformed the students’ lives and aspirations.
Other awardees included:
Best in Robot Design — University of the Cordilleras
Best in Innovation Award — Carig Integrated School / Aglipay National High School
P.L.U.S. Factor Award — Quirino General High School and Nagtipunan National High School
Best Coach Award — San Jose National High School led by Warren Kim Codilan
Very Important Programmer Award — Ilocos Norte National High School
Master of Robotics Award—Ateneo de Zamboanga University Junior High School
This year’s winners will now carry the Philippine flag to international robotics competitions in China, Malaysia, and Vietnam, where they will compete against top student innovators from across Asia. Their journey reflects a growing reality: Filipino students are no longer simply catching up in robotics and technology innovation- they are beginning to stand out.
As DigiPlus Foundation continues to expand its FutureSmart program nationwide, TechQuest demonstrated what becomes possible when young Filipinos are given access to technology, mentorship, and opportunities to innovate for impact.
In every root assembled, every line of code written, and every challenge completed inside the arena, these students carried something far greater than the hope of winning.
They carried the future of Filipino innovation.

Through its FutureSmart initiative—a flagship DigiPlus Foundation program centered on technology education—the Foundation’s strategic collaboration with the DICT and active participation in TechQuest stemmed from a shared vision to bridge the digital divide. The partnership underscores a shared mission to equip public school educators and students with the advanced robotics and coding skills necessary to thrive in an increasingly tech-driven society. It represents a steadfast dedication to cultivating a generation of innovators where digital opportunity is accessible to all, regardless of their location.
Anchored on DigiPlus Foundation’s FutureSmart: Robotics and Coding for Kids framework, the strategic collaboration between the two institutions extends far beyond one-time workshops. By combining the Foundation’s robotics kits with modular training and long-term mentoring, this approach brings high-level technology education to underserved regions and ensures that innovation takes permanent root in the classroom, empowering students long after the initial sessions have ended.
“At DigiPlus Foundation, we see it as our responsibility to inspire and prepare the next generation for the digital economy,” said Angela Camins-Wieneke, Executive Director of DigiPlus Foundation. She added, “Robotics offers a meaningful way for Filipino students to develop future-ready skills such as logical thinking, collaboration, and innovation to uplift communities, which is why DigiPlus Foundation invests in technology education that prepares learners for real-world challenges.”
Empowered Future
The true impact of the FutureSmart program is best measured by the transformation of its beneficiaries. For Alberto S. Elcullada, Jr., Teacher III from Surigao del Norte, the program served as a career-defining turning point, bridging the gap between traditional instruction and the future of robotics.
“I used to teach technology purely from textbooks. Now, thanks to the kits from DigiPlus Foundation and the training from DICT, my students are actually building and coding,” shared Elcullada, adding, “Seeing their faces light up when their robot moves for the first time, that’s when you know the future of tech in the Philippines is rising.”
The enthusiasm is mirrored by the students, who are now seeing a world of new career possibilities. Rowendel Tablayan, a senior at Bintawan National High School, shared his excitement about the hands-on experience.
“This event is a great opportunity for us to enhance our knowledge, spark our curiosity, and become more interested in the field of robotics,” Tablayan noted, representing a new generation of Filipinos ready to lead in the tech space.
Edward Christian Gan, Project Lead of DICT—SPARK (Strengthening the Philippine Workforce through Adaptive and Responsive Digital Knowledge), said, "Students actively collaborated with teachers in learning several aspects of robotics through the provision of essential robotics hardware. Together, they identified the most efficient hardware components that were required for certain tasks, alongside the corresponding codes. A platform like this National Robotics Challenge uplifts the confidence of students and helps them to appreciate careers in coding and fields related to IT that demand creativity and problem-solving skills."
Unwavering Commitment to Digital Inclusion
In recognition of its significant contributions to digital capacity-building, the strategic collaboration between DigiPlus Foundation and the DICT was honored at the National Tech4ED Digital Transformation Awards 2025. By unifying government reach, academic rigor, and private sector resources, the program has established a replicable blueprint for inclusive growth across the digital landscape
"Our partnership with DICT is a testament to what we can achieve when the public and private sectors align. Together, we are ensuring that no Filipino student, regardless of their location, is left behind in the global digital economy," the DigiPlus Foundation Executive Director emphasized.
This milestone makes it clear that DigiPlus Foundation will continue to serve as a cornerstone of the country’s digital evolution. The Foundation is committed to deepening its investment in the Filipino youth by expanding the reach of the FutureSmart initiative to more far-flung provinces.
By fostering a culture where coding is a fundamental literacy and robotics is an accessible dream, DigiPlus Foundation is not just supporting a workshop, it is cultivating the next generation of Filipino engineers, innovators, and digital leaders who will carry the nation into the future. Through sustained mentorship and the continued provision of cutting-edge resources, the Foundation remains steadfast in its mission to multiply the good across the country.

By bringing together creators, players, and communities, the GameZone TongitsPlus Championship demonstrated how entertainment platforms can inspire generosity and collective action.
As the cards were played and champions were crowned, the event ultimately served as a reminder that gaming can be more than just a pastime — it can be a way to bring people together and create opportunities for communities in need.
Through collaborations like this, DigiPlus Foundation continues to support DigiPlus brands in transforming moments of enjoyment into lasting impact, ensuring that every game played contributes to multiplying the good for Filipinos everywhere.

DigiPlus Interactive Corp. rebrands CSR arm to DigiPlus Foundation, scaling national impact through ‘Multiplying the Good’ initiative
DigiPlus Interactive Corp., the country’s premier digital entertainment provider behind BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, and GameZone, formally announces the transformation of its social responsibility arm, BingoPlus Foundation, into the DigiPlus Foundation.
With a renewed commitment to “multiply the good” across the Philippines, this strategic rebranding marks a defining milestone for the Foundation as it reinforces a long-standing dedication to nation-building. More than a simple change in name, the transition from BingoPlus Foundation to DigiPlus Foundation reflects the growth of the organization that has, over the years, matured in reach and strengthened in purpose. Anchored on the same mission of service, DigiPlus Foundation now moves forward with a bolder vision—one that scales compassion, opportunity, and resilience.
“The transition to DigiPlus Foundation is more than a rebranding; it is a declaration of our expanded commitment to the Filipino people,” said DigiPlus Chairman Eusebio Tanco. He also emphasized “As we scale our efforts from education to disaster resilience, we remain anchored in the belief that when we share our success, we multiply the good for the entire nation.”
Supported by the company’s flagship brands BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, and GameZone, the DigiPlus Foundation promises to strengthen its corporate social responsibility initiatives focus on four key pillars—FutureSmart for education, KalusuganPlus for healthcare, WishPlus for hope and empowerment, and BayanihanPlus for resilience.
Under its education pillar, the DigiPlus Foundation’s FutureSmart program invests in long-term transformation by empowering students and professionals alike. From collegiate scholarship programs to IT certification training and upskilling initiatives, FutureSmart—which has already empowered more than 6,000 individuals—equips Filipinos with the tools to thrive in a rapidly evolving, technology-driven economy. Through FutureSmart’s PlusCenters—facilities designed to provide learners with advanced resources and future-ready skills—every opportunity granted to students, teachers, and classrooms creates a powerful ripple effect that uplifts families and an entire community.
Healthcare remains a cornerstone of the Foundation’s mission. Through KalusuganPlus, the DigiPlus Foundation delivers medical assistance to both urban centers and geographically isolated communities, ensuring access to essential care where it is needed most. In 2025, recognizing the growing importance of mental wellness, the Foundation launched EmbracePlus, a mental health support hotline complemented by barangay-level mental health training caravans. These KalusuganPlus initiatives have reached a total of over 900,000 Filipinos, strengthening local clinics and first responders while embedding compassionate care directly at the community level.
From bustling cities to the most remote corners, DigiPlus Foundation’s KalusuganPlus brings medical assistance to those who need it most.
Inclusive empowerment comes to life through WishPlus, the Foundation’s program dedicated to turning hope into action. By granting life-changing wishes and providing pathways to dignity, WishPlus empowers Filipinos to believe that even the most difficult circumstances can be overcome. With nearly 10,000 wishes granted to date, the program continues to uplift lives and multiply opportunities for growth—one wish at a time.
In times of crisis, the DigiPlus Foundation stands with communities through BayanihanPlus. From Luzon to Mindanao, the Foundation has supported more than 176,000 Filipinos, responding swiftly to disasters and recovery needs. Rooted in the Filipino spirit of bayanihan, the program reflects the power of collective action—communities helping communities, driven by compassion and solidarity, without expectation of return.
At present, the Foundation—through its initiatives FutureSmart, KalusuganPlus, WishPlus, and BayanihanPlus—has established numerous programs and activities that has benefitted over a million Filipinos and collaborated with several local government units across the country including cities in Mega Manila, Cebu, Zamboanga, and Masbate. The DigiPlus Foundation also partners with national agencies, including the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), in order to align its social initiatives with national development goals and maximize the reach of its community programs.
From classroom to career, DigiPlus Foundation’s FutureSmart opens doors towards promising tomorrows.
At its core, DigiPlus Foundation believes that good multiplies when shared. With a renewed identity and a growing impact, the foundation moves forward, committed to scaling what works, strengthening partnerships, and deepening its service to the nation. This new chapter is a promise—to do more, reach further, and multiply the good for generations of Filipinos to come.

Books on Wheels: DigiPlus Foundation Brings Mobile Library to Boost LiteracyAmong Aurora’s Young Learners
DigiPlus Foundation continues to champion inclusive learning by empowering young learners in Aurora Province through a meaningful partnership with youth-led volunteer group Sikat Aurora.
Following six months of sustained support for Sikat Aurora’s Abot Ko ang Libro storytelling initiative, an activity that brings reading sessions and learning spaces closer to children in local communities, DigiPlus Foundation and GameZone surprised the group with a new mobile library designed to support their mission beyond a single location. The mobile library will allow Sikat Aurora volunteers to roam across Aurora Province, reaching more children with books, learning materials, and storytelling activities.
The donation strengthens Sikat Aurora’s efforts to uplift nonformal education as a vital complement to classroom learning, especially for children with limited access to books and educational resources. By taking learning on the road, the mobile library transforms storytelling sessions into a scalable, sustainable program that can reach far-flung communities across the province.
RJ Belen, Founder of Sikat Aurora, expressed deep gratitude for the continued support from DigiPlus Foundation.
“We are truly grateful for the trust and support of DigiPlus Foundation. This mobile library will help us reach more young learners in Aurora and strengthen our mission of nurturing a love for reading. Through nonformal education, we help support what children learn in school and create spaces where learning feels accessible, enjoyable, and empowering.”
He added that the mobile library represents more than just books, it represents opportunity.
“This will allow us to bring learning to children who may not always have access to educational materials, helping them build confidence and curiosity as they grow.”
More than 100 new storytelling books were added to the mobile library, expanding access to reading materials for young learners.
From the Foundation’s perspective, the initiative aligns with its broader goal of inclusive education. Neil Orillaneda, Program Manager for Technology Education of DigiPlus Foundation, emphasized the importance of ensuring that learning opportunities reach every child.
“Our goal is simple: no learner left behind. By supporting initiatives like Sikat Aurora’s mobile library, we help bridge learning gaps and ensure that children, regardless of location or circumstance, have access to educational resources that support their growth.”
The mobile library donation reflects DigiPlus Foundation’s belief that learning happens not only inside classrooms, but also within communities through shared stories, accessible resources, and partnerships that place children at the center of development.
DigiPlus employees volunteered their time and joined storytelling activities, engaging directly with children during the mobile library program.
The mobile library donation is part of a Php 1-million contribution from GameZone during the International Series Philippines (ISP), channeled through DigiPlus Foundation to support a range of community initiatives nationwide. Beyond education, the donation also funds livelihood support for local weavers, health program assistance for the LGBTQ+ community, aid for persons with disabilities in Cebu, and flood rescue equipment for Manila, reflecting a holistic approach to community development that addresses education, health, inclusion, and disaster preparedness.
As Sikat Aurora continues its journey across Aurora Province, DigiPlus Foundation remains committed to supporting initiatives that nurture curiosity, literacy, and lifelong learning among Filipino youth.

DigiPlus Foundation brings first PLUS Center for Technology to Masbate’s Ticao Island
Often overlooked on the national map, Ticao Island in Masbate is among the most remote island communities in the Bicol Region and one of the first areas to feel the impact of incoming typhoons in the Philippines. Beyond the mainland lies a resilient yet underserved island now taking a significant step forward in education and digital inclusion.
Responding to the persistent gaps in access to technology and digital learning for its students, DigiPlus Foundation, formerly known as BingoPlus Foundation and a well-recognized organization for its award-winning technology education program, officially established its fourth FutureSmart: PLUS Center to Liceo de San Jacinto Foundation (LSJF).
LSJF is the only educational institution on the island offering programs up to the tertiary level and serves nearly 90% of the island’s student population, supporting around 400 junior and senior students, and 2,200 college students, making it a cornerstone of educational opportunity on Ticao Island.
Dubbed as “PLUS Center for Technology”, DigiPlus Foundation upgraded the school’s former computer laboratory into a modern, fully equipped digital facility that meets current industry and digital learning standards, enough for educators and learners to gain hands-on experience, strengthen digital literacy, and build skills aligned with today’s evolving workforce.
On January 14, 2025, DigiPlus Foundation and Liceo de San Jacinto formalized their partnership in bridging access to technology-driven education. In photos: (left-right) Ms. Angela Camins-Wieneke, Executive Director, DigiPlus Foundation; Dr. Francisco P. Altarejos, Chairman of Liceo de San Jacinto Foundation and current Municipality Mayor of San Jacinto, Ticao Island, Masbate; and Neil Don Orillaneda, Program Manager for Education and Livelihood, DigiPlus Foundation.
“The aim of our PLUS Centers is to bridge the digital divide and skills gaps in technology education and livelihood by delivering capacity-building and infrastructure investments in communities,” shares DigiPlus Foundation Executive Director Angela Camins-Wieneke. “From empowering persons with disabilities in Cebu with training in computer skills and commercial arts to helping solo parents in General Santos gain NC II Certifications through technical training in dressmaking, our goal is community-specific impact. We are grateful for the opportunity to extend this mission and deliver the same impact to Masbate through Liceo de San Jacinto.”
Emphasizing the facility’s role in elevating island-wide learning standards, academic leaders and school officials, who expressed gratitude, noted that the upgrade will significantly enhance teaching methods and student engagement.
“Education must evolve with the times,” said Dr. Francisco P. Altarejos, Chairman of LSJF and Mayor of the Municipality of San Jacinto, Ticao Island. “These new computers allow our institution to deliver quality, future-ready learning, expanding access, enhancing instructions, and equipping our students with skills essential in an increasingly digital economy.”
(Left to right photo) The former facility, which previously featured a minimal number of outdated computers, old tables and chairs, poor ventilation, and unrepaired walls, has been transformed by DigiPlus Foundation into a fully renovated, well-ventilated classroom. This upgraded classroom is now equipped with organized tables, comfortable chairs, a complete set of high-specification computers, a printer, and a 65-inch smart board.
Beyond the LSJF community, the PLUS Center for Technology is also expected to support other schools in nearby municipalities, community-based programs, and livelihood workshops, extending its benefits across the island.
Local government leaders across the island’s four municipalities likewise highlighted the PLUS Center for Technology’s importance to inclusive growth.
“Access to technology is no longer a privilege; it is a necessity for inclusive growth,” shared Mayor Marco M. Cam of Municipality of Batuan. He continued, “By bringing modern learning tools to our students, we are strengthening our community’s capacity to compete, innovate, and thrive in a rapidly digitalizing world. This initiative ensures that no learner in the whole island of Ticao is left behind.”
For students, the PLUS Center for Technology represents more than the new equipment but it symbolizes opportunity.
“This is not just a donation of hardware, it is an investment in our dreams,” said Zoren Almodiel, 3rd Year B.S. Education student of LSJF. “These computers turn ‘sana all’ into real opportunity. In a time when digital literacy is as essential as reading and writing, this upgrade empowers us to actively participate in the digital age and prepare for a technology-driven future, regardless of where we come from.”
Foundation representatives and school leaders experience the new Smart Classroom equipment during the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
More than an infrastructure upgrade, the PLUS Center for Technology reflects a long-term investment in Ticao Island’s future – strengthening education, supporting community development, and building resilience.
This milestone underscores DigiPlus Foundation’s continuing commitment to multiplying the good in underserved communities nationwide. Through its FutureSmart program as well as its health and community resilience initiatives, the Foundation remains focused on creating sustainable impact, one much-needed community at a time.

DigiPlus Elevates PH as Premier Global Sports Destination for hosting ISP, Donates ₱17M
The prestigious International Series Philippines (ISP), which was held for the first time in the country, proved to be more than just a showcase of world-class golf. Thanks to BingoPlus Foundation, the social development arm of DigiPlus Interactive Corp., the event became a powerful platform to champion sports development, uplift the country’s athletes, and secure a brighter future for the sport and for nation-building.
Presented by BingoPlus, the flagship brand of DigiPlus, the first-ever staging of the world-renowned ISP successfully established the country as a premier sports destination. The event allowed the BingoPlus Foundation to uphold its commitment to sports development by handing over donations to key partners in sports development.
“DigiPlus is proud to have championed the inaugural International Series Philippines. This prestigious event is an affirmation that we created a new milestone for our country as a premier world-class sports destination,” DigiPlus Chairman Eusebio Tanco said, who added, “Beyond expanding golf’s domestic reach and enhancing our global standing, this tournament is crucial because it gives us, through our BingoPlus Foundation, the opportunity to support and empower our sports community, which upholds our commitment to Philippine sports.”
In the week-long ISP event held last month, the BingoPlus Foundation turned over a total of ₱17.2 million in donations to key partner-beneficiaries, namely: the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), the National Golf Association of the Philippines (NGAP), the Asian Development Tour (ADT), and the Sisidlan Rizal Weavers.
The ₱8 million donation to the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) reinforces the Foundation’s long-term commitment to strengthening the country’s athletic programs and empowering Filipino athletes to excel globally.
“This P8-million amount is a victory far greater than any we could claim tonight. The true winners here are our Filipino athletes and our youth,” PSC Commissioner Fritz Gaston remarked. “Our primary focus is to assist our athletes, particularly the aspiring young individuals. This generous donation [from BingoPlus and BingoPlus Foundation] will be utilized to support our youth, starting from the grassroots. We will provide them with the necessary funds for their training and practice in their chosen sports,” he added, emphasizing that the investment is dedicated to shaping the next generation of national athletes.
To grow the game locally, the Foundation also committed USD 50,000 to the National Golf Association of the Philippines (NGAP) and USD 100,000 to the Asian Development Tour (ADT). This ADT partnership, introducing its series to the Philippines for the first time, guarantees a Filipino golfer a coveted slot in the prestigious International Series. This move bridges critical opportunities for emerging talents and firmly places the nation’s golf facilities on the global map.
“By investing in this tournament, we’re not just funding a competition, we’re helping shape future champions,” affirmed Jasper Vicencio, President of BingoPlus. “This is about creating world-class opportunities for Filipinos right here at home.”
Celebrating a shared mission: Presenting donations of $50,000 USD to the National Golf Association of the Philippines (NGAP) and $100,000 USD to the Asian Development Tour (ADT) to empower Filipino athletes and promote golf in the country.
The Foundation’s inclusive development efforts extended beyond sports. Alongside BingoPlus and GameZone, BingoPlus Foundation celebrated Filipino artistry and cultural heritage by donating ₱500,000 to the Sisidlan Rizal Weavers. This support helps the local artisans maintain their business and advocacy, which gained recognition when showcased during the golf tournament’s Welcome Gala and the LIV Golf Music Fest.
It was an emotional moment for the women of Sisidlan Rizal Weavers as BingoPlus Foundation and GameZone donated ₱500,000 to support their business and advocacy, empowering women entrepreneurs and yielding more jobs in Rizal.
“The entire Sisidlan Weavers team extends its sincere gratitude to the BingoPlus Foundation for their P500,000 donation,” stated Sisidlan Weavers Founder, Sharonette Roquios. “This amount will be directly utilized to strengthen our business advocacy which is to create more sustainable jobs for our women. I believe that every fiber we weave builds stronger families and brighter futures. We thank the BingoPlus Foundation for partnering with us to elevate Filipino craftsmanship and empower our women,” she added.
BingoPlus Foundation Executive Director Angela Camins-Wieneke said, “Events like this bring energy to the community from tourism and local jobs to inspiring the next generation of athletes.” She concluded, “We’ll continue creating avenues where every Filipino can play, compete, and thrive.”
By successfully merging global sportsmanship with local empowerment, BingoPlus Foundation demonstrated how its mission to ‘Multiply the Good’ makes a significant mark in sports and cultural development, extending beyond its traditional focus on education and health.

BingoPlus Foundation equips FutureSmart Scholars with leadership, life-skills to become changemakers
MAKATI CITY, Philippines – On July 19, 2025, BingoPlus Foundation, the social development arm of DigiPlus, gathered 80 FutureSmart scholars from across the country for its second general assembly for a day of growth, connection, and inspiration. The event featured professional trainers, national beauty queen ambassadors, and nonprofit leaders who shared actionable insights and leadership tools to help the scholars become future-ready leaders.
Through its P.L.U.S. (Pioneering Leadership and Uplifting Service) Factor Program, the Foundation underscores its commitment to nurturing young talents with more than financial aid. The program equips scholars with essential life skills such as leadership, resilience, and a sense of service, ensuring they are prepared to lead both in their chosen careers and in their communities. Building on the momentum of past sessions, this year’s assembly focused on the two high-impact workshops: Purpose and Vision, which guided scholars in aligning their personal mission with future advocacies, and public speaking, which enhanced their confidence, presence, and ability to influence others.
A clear purpose keeps life on the right track.
The Purpose and Vision Workshop aimed to guide scholars in uncovering what drives them and aligning it with their future careers and advocacies. Through reflection exercises and guided discussions, participants explored how understanding their “Why” can empower them to lead with intention and integrity.
Through a workshop facilitated by Management Strategies, a global consulting and training firm based in the Philippines, scholars were guided to discover and define their personal purpose and vision in life. Using practical tools and reflective exercises, they were able to align their individual aspirations with the values of leadership and service, giving them a clearer roadmap for their future.
“We believe transformation begins when a young person discovers their purpose,” said Jasper Vicencio, President of AB Leisure Exponent and Vice President and Trustee of BingoPlus Foundation. “We’re not just offering scholarships. We’re building leaders who can create impact, inspire others, and give back to their communities.” he added.
The workshop was made even more impactful by special guests Chelsea Fernandez, Miss Philippines Cosmo 2025, and Kat Llegado, Miss Philippines Supranational 2026. The two queens shared how they use their pageant platforms to advance meaningful advocacies, shedding light on what it means to lead with purpose.
Purpose guides everything I do—on and off stage,” said Chelsea Fernandez, urging scholars to stay authentic and clear. Kat Llegado added, “When vision is rooted in purpose, pressure becomes fuel.” Connecting purpose to service, Joie Balaong of iVolunteer Philippines shared: “Volunteerism is our core—we envision every Filipino volunteering by making it known, easy, and doable.”
Adding to the inspiring session was Joie Ann Balaong, Partnership Director of iVolunteer Philippines, who shared her personal journey of turning passion into purpose through community service. Her story echoed a powerful message on how fulfillment comes from alignment between values and vocation.
‘Walk the talk’: Bringing purpose to the podium
Ms. Issa Litton, an experienced trainer in public speaking, host, and actress, assisted the scholars in cultivating confidence by utilizing their voices as instruments to create impact and excel as communicators in their respective fields.
Before the General Assembly, FutureSmart Scholars joined the PLUS Factor: Public Speaking Workshop, aimed to strengthen the scholars’ communication and presentation skills. The workshop mainly focused on presence and delivery, teaching scholars how to project their voice, maintain a confident posture, and present themselves with clarity and poise. This session involved a practical application where participants delivered presentations and received direct feedback from mentors.
Through this experience, scholars not only improved their public speaking skills but also gained a deeper understanding of how communication ties into their personal and professional growth. They also learned how to use their voice as a tool for leadership and advocacy and gained skills that will serve them as future innovators and community leaders.
“When scholars know their purpose and can speak it with confidence, they become unstoppable forces for good,” said Vicencio. “This is the heart of what we aim to nurture through FutureSmart. We want to help shape leaders who will influence the future with clarity, compassion, and courage.”
Initiatives like this are part of DigiPlus and BingoPlus Foundation’s broader goal to continue to invest in more than just education but in character-building, leadership development, and values formation for the next and future generation of Filipino leaders. With its FutureSmart Scholarship Program, the foundation remains firm in its commitment to cultivating a generation that leads with purpose and uplifts others in the process.
