General Santos City, Philippines - DigiPlus Foundation mounted one of its largest disaster response operations to date following the Southern Mindanao earthquake, delivering immediate humanitarian assistance to more that 25,000 people across General Santos City and Sarangani Province.
Through BayanihanPlus, its community resilience and disaster response program, the Foundation mobilized five waves of relief operations in close coordination with local government units, volunteers, and community partners. Food packs, clean drinking water, and other essential supplies were distributed to affected communities during the critical days following the earthquake.The dormitory was made possible through the spearheading support of DigiPlus Foundation and GameZone, with an additional ₱100,000 personal contribution from Mr. Jasper Vicencio, Board of Trustee of DigiPlus Foundation and President of GameMaster Inc. The project was implemented in partnership with Friends of Saint Mary MacKillop Inc. (FSMMI), with the support of the local government of Siayan, the Tribal Council of Elders, and members of the Subanen community.
DigiPlus Foundation was also among the first organizations to coordinate with local authorities and deliver assistance on the ground while broader recovery efforts were still being organized.d

Recognizing the recovery extends beyond immediate relief, DigiPlus Foundation also provided more than ₱2 million in financial assistance to bereaved and severely affected families in General Santos City and Sarangani Province, helping them begin rebuilding their lives with dignity and hope.
“No amount of words, no amount of financial assistance, and no material support can truly ease the loneliness and pain of losing our loved ones. Despite this, our local government continues to work hard to provide comfort and support, even if only to help ease the burden our families are carrying during this difficult time.

The Foundation partnered with the Emmanuel and Jinkee Pacquiao Foundation, local government units, community leaders, volunteers and other stakeholders to strengthen its relief operations and extend assistance to more communities in need.

The response was also supported by the wider DigiPlus and BingoPlus community. Through the Charity feature available on DigiPlus platforms, users were given an opportunity to support initiatives that help the Foundation mobilize resources and respond quickly to communities affected by disasters.
"This response belongs to everyone who chose to be part of something bigger. Every contribution through our Charity initiative helped us reach more families, deliver assistance faster, and provide hope when it was needed most," Camins-Wieneke added.
While the emergency relief operations have concluded, DigiPlus Foundation remains committed to supporting communities beyond the immediate aftermath of disasters through programs focused on resilience, recovery, and long-term community development.
