Following the recent magnitude 7.8 earthquake in Southern Mindanao, DigiPlus Foundation has mobilized volunteers, resources, and relief supplies under its community resilience program, BayanihanPlus, to support affected communities amid aftershocks across the region.
Foundation volunteers and team members immediately prepared essential relief supplies, including drinking water and food assistance, to support affected families in the hardest-hit communities, including General Santos City and Sarangani City.
Structured in three waves, DigiPlus Foundation’s initial relief assistance will deliver vital aid to 13,000 individuals affected by the disaster. The operation begins with the immediate deployment of clean drinking water, followed by a secondary rollout of critical water and rice supplies, and then proceeds to the distribution of sustained food packs to ensure continuous, reliable support reaches everyone in need.
“DigiPlus Foundation remains committed to standing with our fellow Filipinos during times of crisis. Through BayanihanPlus, we are mobilizing our people and resources, hoping that these collective efforts bring relief, strength, and renewed hope to everyone affected by the earthquake," shared DigiPlus Foundation Executive Director, Angela Camins-Wieneke, adding that the organization vows to continue providing support as affected families begin the difficult journey of recovery and rebuilding.
As aftershocks are expected to continue in the coming weeks, the Foundation is rolling out additional waves of assistance as part of its ongoing commitment to disaster response and community resilience.
Through BayanihanPlus, DigiPlus Foundation continues to multiply the good by providing timely support, strengthening communities, and helping families move forward after disaster.
Tuloy ang Pagtulong. Tuloy ang Pag-asa.
